Different options offered by ITESO to study abroad
If you are interested in studying at a university that does not have a collaboration agreement with ITESO, you have the option of arranging your own Independent Stay. The requirements and application process for this option are the same as for universities that have an agreement with ITESO.
The difference between Independent Stay and programs at universities that have an agreement with ITESOis that with Independent Stay you will pay the courses at the prices fixed by the foreign university, plus you must pay ITESO 15% of the cost of the credits you wish to transfer upon your return.
With this option you must make the initial contact with the university, and inform us where to send your documentation. When you conclude your studies abroad, you must request your grades and submit them to the Academic Exchange Office so that the credits are transferred.
Credits will be transferred under the terms stipulated in the academic exchange program. If you have a scholarship and/or loan from ITESO, it will be apply only to the 15% you pay here.
It is important to mention that besides the 15%, you must pay the life insurance premium for your parent or guardian. If you receive financial aid, you must take out loan insurance and pay the interest on the loan.
ITESO-sponsored Exchange Programs
With this option, you will continue paying your ITESO tuition, at the same price, and on the dates set by ITESO.
